My butterflies but the Monarch has gravitas!
I photographed this Monarch in 1972 with my first 35mm.
This Monarch I photographed In 2019 and with half the resolution.
This is a Viceroy butterfly; it mimics the bad tasting Monarch, but apparently birds find them rather tasty.
The only two Monarch chrysalises I've found in the wild.
